The lab is currently recruiting PhD students. If interested, contact Matthew Kirchner at mkirchner@tamu.edu with a short description of your research experience and CV.
The lab has secured internal seed funding through Texas A&M's TPT Collaborative Seed Grant Program to study properties of hypoxia resistance and excitoxicity resistance in vasopressin neurons. This one year project is a joint collaboration with the laboratory of Dr. Adam Case.
We are excited to welcome Obed to the lab as a postdoctoral research associate! He has an extensive medical background and earned his PhD in the lab of Tom Cunningham at UNT Health in Fort Worth, TX. An expert patch clamper, Obed has extensive experience studying afferent neural projections to the supraoptic nucleus.
The Kirchner Lab is officially open.
